The integration enables GemPad users to log in with their preferred wallets as the interface detects various available wallet types — including mobile, browser extension, desktop, and web app wallets. GemPad even has the ability to customize the order of wallets on the selection interface, as well as support multiple browser extension wallets seamlessly thanks to EIP-6963.
“We noticed that AppKit caters to a vast number of wallets and offers superior technology in the wallet connection space,” says Niall, co-founder of GemPad.
More wallets, more transparency, less downtime
GemPad prioritizes uninterrupted service and interoperability to deliver a seamless experience for both crypto natives and newcomers.
“As a launchpad, we cannot afford downtime or problems with the wallet connector as this greatly affects the decision-making of an investor,” notes Niall. “If they have a problem connecting they will be forced to take another step of using a different wallet or simply not contribute, which is something we don’t want to happen.”
The integration not only connects GemPad users with a vast array of over 500 wallets — including MetaMask, Rainbow, Coinbase, and more — but also enriches the account view with features like transaction history, token balances, automatic ENS domain resolution, and links to block explorers such as Etherscan.
“The team is happy with the variety of wallets available as it gives us the advantage of being part of different communities as well,” says Niall. “This gives us room to expand and create joint campaigns that will lead to more users getting to know that GemPad is accessible via these wallets.”

GemPad’s integration process with the AppKit was effortless, as the simplified logic and out-of-the-box features enabled the development team to quickly get started.
“The GemPad dev team didn’t have any trouble integrating AppKit; everything in the documentation provides all that we need to make it available on our platform. It’s straightforward and can be done in a day or so.”
