Reown UX Roundup #01: November issue

At Reown, we’re always striving to enhance UX across the ecosystem and further the mission of web3 by arming builders with best-in-class tools. We’re thrilled as part of this pledge to introduce to our community an all-new perspective on what’s coming with Reown.
Introducing: the Reown UX Roundup.
From alpha to new release updates, feature rollouts, and all-around improvements, the monthly Reown UX Roundup helps our community of dedicated builders easily understand where they can best leverage enhanced workflows, strengthened integrations, and improved performance to accelerate the growth of their products.
So, without further ado –here’s what we’ve been up to this month:
AppKit: What’s new?
Making gas a thing of the past with gas fee sponsorships
What if users no longer had to think about gas fees? Imagine a world where Apps could seamlessly sponsor transactions, or users could pay fees with tokens they already hold. With the release of our ERC-20 paymaster feature, this vision is now a reality.
Onchain networks offer great promise, but for many, the complexity of gas fees presents a significant barrier. These fees, which are required for all onchain transactions, often confuse new users and discourage broader adoption of blockchain technology. Through the ability for projects to offer more flexible fee structures in-app, or even sponsor gas fees, gas fee management instantly becomes simple. We recently announced the launch of a new feature within AppKit that allows users to pay for gas in any ERC-20 token they choose, and we're continually working on scaling this opportunity. Let's dive into how AppKit's up-and-coming gas fee-ature is about to level up gas abstraction with gas fee sponsorship.
Gas fee sponsorship enables apps to cover the gas fees for their users, essentially creating a UX rid of gas altogether and giving users an onchain experience with gas-free transactions.
To help developers and users better understand Reown Paymasters, Reown's Senior Full Stack Engineer, Celine Sarafa, created an in-depth video walkthrough.
Watch Celine’s Paymaster Video to see how Reown Paymaster is drastically improving transaction management for web3 builders and end users.
Gas fee sponsorship will be available and free to use for AppKit users soon - keep an eye on updates for more information.
Delivering on robust features with our Native SDK
The latest AppKit Native updates focus on delivering robust features and enhanced compatibility across popular development frameworks. For React Native and Flutter, we've introduced improved social login options alongside wallet features, enabling an easier integration process for developers. These features are showcased in detail below:

Updated Social Log-in alongside side wallet features From Sam Newman, AppKit Product Manager at Reown
React Native Smart Accounts also received upgrades, bringing advanced account management capabilities to developers. Meanwhile, Flutter now supports Solana, expanding multi-chain possibilities for apps built using AppKit. Unity developers benefit from new integrations with SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum) and 1CA (1-Click Authentication), making it easier than ever to create secure and user-friendly experiences. These updates collectively enhance AppKit Native’s versatility, empowering developers to build across multiple chains and platforms effortlessly.

Improving developer and end-user experiences with AppKit for web
With the latest updates to AppKit Web, we’ve prioritized usability and performance, ensuring an improved experience for both developers and end-users. Improved error handling and additional console errors make debugging simpler, allowing developers to identify and resolve issues faster. Smart account UX improvements and refined onboarding flows make it easier for new users to get started with confidence, while optimizations to email and social login have significantly reduced latency, delivering a smoother login experience for the end user.
Behind the scenes, AppKit has been refactored to enhance compatibility and performance across EVM and Non-EVM networks. Lastly, key bug fixes have resulted in a more polished UI and an improved overall user journey, ensuring an immaculate onboarding process from start to finish.
WalletConnect Certified now in AppKit
We are excited to announce that WalletConnect Certified has been fully integrated into Reown AppKit. With this update, all wallets that have earned the prestigious WalletConnect Certified badge are now displayed within AppKit interfaces.

From Joe Hoffend, Head of Product at Reown
When users connect to an app, they’ll see the familiar gold tick badge next to certified wallets, ensuring they can easily identify and trust wallets that meet the highest standards in security, compliance, and UX excellence.
This integration empowers developers to deliver even more confidence and reliability to their users while simplifying wallet selection during onboarding. With WalletConnect Certified, AppKit continues to set the standard for accessible, high-quality blockchain experiences.

WalletKit: What’s new?
Preparing for future releases
We’ve been busy battle-testing and building up WalletKit to support chain abstraction and smart accounts, creating a smoother, multi-chain experience. As announced in our CTO Derek Rein’s keynote at WalletCon.
These updates are a big step forward in simplifying wallet management for developers while enhancing flexibility for users.
Dashboard: What’s new?
